ANZ Motor Claims Manager

We are currently recruiting for the permanent full-time role of ANZ Motor Claims Manager who will report to the Managing Director and be based at of our head office in Mascot, Sydney. Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal applicant will have experience in a Motor Claims Team Leadership or Management position. In addition you also possess:

  • Minimum 2 years Team Leadership
  • Minimum 5 years General Insurance Claims (preferably motor)
  • Outstanding Customer Service skills
  • Life skills, enthusiasm, personality and maturity
  • Ability to train, lead, delegate and motivate others
  • A results driven approach with target and goal setting skills
  • Ability to drive technology and continuous improvement to increase efficiency
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Advanced reporting and administrative skills

  • Current Australian driver’s license
  • Office program, word processing, Excel and mathematical skills (intermediate)
  • Relevant training, tertiary education or accreditation

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of the duties this position will be responsible for are;

  • Advocating Motor Claims Department goals within the Company
  • Training personnel in across the greater network in claims procedural and administrative compliance to ensure a seamless claims process for the Customer
  • Developing procedural guides and manuals
  • Accurate and timely processing of end to end motor claims
  • Management of Litigated and high end Total Loss claims
  • Excellent Dispute Resolution Skills to provide best outcomes for both Customers and the organisation
  • Timely analysis, review and management of claims to maximise recovery opportunities
  • Maintaining proactive contact will all parties involved in all motor claims
  • Interpretation, review and application of appropriate action on correspondence received from our customers, third parties and other service providers
  • Application of rental terms and conditions, company policies and procedures to claims
  • Represent the Company in mediation, consumer tribunal and civil actions
  • Communicate at all levels with personnel from other departments of the Company
  • Maintaining effective internal / external relationships
  • Supplier engagement and management (Repairers, Assessors, Legal Suppliers, Debt Recovery Agencies, Etc.)
  • Opportunity to put stamp your mark by reviewing current repair process, build and manage Motor Vehicle repair process and network across Australia and New Zealand
  • Negotiating annual Insurance renewal terms for the Company Motor Policy
  • Ad-hoc projects as required

Salary Package
