The National Car Rental brand is owned by Enterprise Holdings – the largest car rental company in the world.

Redspot Car Rental is an Enterprise Holdings franchise partner in Australia and New Zealand.

  1. What is National’s Emerald Club Program?

For more than 25 years, the Emerald Club has been synonymous with National Car Rental and our reputation as a premium supplier to the corporate traveller. Members enjoy accelerated transactions, greater choice and recognition while renting across our worldwide network.

 

  1. Why is my current membership being transferred to National Emerald Club?

As a valued Redspot Business Club member, we want you to experience the best car rental available in Australia and overseas. National is wholly focused on providing speed and efficiency, plus reward for business travellers.

 

  1. When will my membership be transferred?

You will be pre-enrolled into the National Emerald Club in early 2016.

 

  1. What happens then?

You will receive an email in early 2016, confirming your partial pre-enrolment with a request to activate your Emerald Club membership. You will be required to complete Emerald Club enrolment online, simply click on the link in the email to open your partially completed enrolment screen.

 

  1. What information will be required?

To complete enrolment online you will need your current driver’s license and a valid major credit card.

 

  1. What happens if I need to book a car now?

Business Club is business as usual until February, 2016. Book online using your Redspot unique Business Club membership ID.

 

  1. What will happen to my credit card details that you have on file?

Your credit card details are not being transferred.

 

  1. Do I keep my current Business Club rates?

Your current Business Club package will still apply to your domestic car rentals when reserving and renting at National Car Rental.

 

  1. Will my Australian fixed rental rates be applied to my Emerald Club international car rental?

No. You will receive a discount on your overseas retail rental price.

 

  1. Is membership in the Emerald Club free?

Yes, Emerald Club membership is complimentary.

 

  1. What rewards do Emerald Club members earn?

Members have the option to earn rental credits towards free days or miles/points with a National frequent travellers’ partner program. If you choose to earn rental credits, you will earn one rental credit for every qualified car rental. A Base tier member will earn a Free Rental Day upon earning 7 rental credits.

 

  1. What if I’m an Emerald Club member and rent at Enterprise?

Emerald Club members can earn rental credits towards Free Rental Days and elite status with qualifying rentals at thousands of participating Enterprise neighbourhood and airport locations. If your corporate agreement includes rates and benefits at Enterprise, the terms and provisions of the renter’s corporate agreement are recognised at the time of rental when the reservation is placed using the corporate CD number.

 

  1. Is a walk up customer or a member who didn’t book with their Emerald Club number still eligible for credits?

Yes – as long as their Emerald Club profile is used during the rental, the customer will be eligible to earn rewards for their rental even if they didn’t book a reservation or use their member number at the time of booking. An advance reservation is highly recommended and encouraged to ensure availability of a vehicle.

 

  1. How do I earn Free Rental Day rewards?

Emerald Club members earn credits toward free days based upon qualifying rentals. At this time, Emerald Club free days are only available for redemption at National locations. Rental credits are automatically credited to your account at the time of rental through a paperless process requiring no coupons or statements.

 

  1. How do I redeem my rewards?

To redeem free rental days, members must reserve online. Free rental days are valid for rentals in Australia, Aruba, Belize, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Curacao, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Tortola, Trinidad & Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America and Uruguay only.

 

  1. Personal Profile Management

Members can view and update their personal profile information, as well as their preferences, view past rental history and free days online with easy access to their information by visiting the National website at nationalcar.com and logging in.

 

  1. If I am already an Emerald Club member, do I need to enroll again?

Detailed instructions will be provided to you in the email you will receive in early 2016.
