Location Information

Redspot Car Rentals is located in the Wellington Airport arrivals terminal. Our Wellington hire cars are parked within walking distance of the terminal building for your convenience. Redspot Car Rentals also rents vehicles at Auckland and Queenstown locations.

Satellite Navigation

Redspot Car Rentals offers drivers the option of portable GPS with every car hire, for a relaxing visit to New Zealand. If you’re new to the city, or unsure of how to get around, remember to include satellite navigation with your car reservation so you will reach your destinations with ease and on time.

Roadside Assistance:

All New Zealand hire cars from Redspot Car Rentals are covered by 24 hour roadside assistance. If you encounter a mechanical fault with your hire car your roadside service will be free of charge. Redspot Car Rentals also offers a premium roadside assistance package that covers you on the occasions where you accidentally leave the lights on or lock the key in the car.

Toll Roads

New Zealand currently has three (3) toll roads: the Northern Gateway Too Road north of Auckland, and the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road and the Takitimu Drive Toll Road, both in Tauranga.

No visit to Wellington is complete without a ride on the Wellington Cable Car – you will find the terminal in the heart of the Lambton Quay shopping precinct. For another panoramic view visit Mount Victoria Lookout and take in the beauty of this incredible city.


Another popular tourist destination is the amazing Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. As well as discovering stories rich in Maori history, the shared Anzac history is commemorated in monumental scale in the new Gallipoli: The scale of our war exhibition, featuring the figures of seven soldiers and a nurse frozen in a moment in time, crafted by Oscar-winning Weta Workshop at 2.4 times human scale.


Finally, Wellington is sandwiched between two of New Zealand’s best wine regions. You will discover the stunning Wairarpa, one of NZ’s premier wine regions in just over an hour’s drive from Wellington city. If you’re self-drive, park up at your accommodation or near town and hire a bike from Green Jersey Cycles just up from the picturesque square in Martinborough to cycle your way around some 24 boutique vineyards.
