Redspot Car Rentals is a true Australian success story. In 1989 Dan Mekler started renting a couple of cars from his service station in the South Sydney suburb of Waterloo. Today Redspot operates over 2,500 vehicles from sixteen airport and four city locations across Australia and in June 2016 enters the New Zealand market.

In 1957 Jack Taylor opened a car rental office with a handful of cars in a St Louis dealership. Naming his company Enterprise after the ship he served on in the US Navy Jack and his family have built Enterprise and its other two brands National and Alamo into the world’s largest car rental group operating over 1.7 million vehicles across over 80 countries and 9,000 locations worldwide.

In 2015 Redspot and Enterprise agreed a Master Franchise Agreement that will see all Redspot locations advertise and service all four brands in both countries. This is the first time this group of iconic brands will be seen together in Australasia and the first time Enterprise and Alamo customers have been able to access their car rental supplier of choice in the region.

Redspot and Enterprise are committed to expanding their network of locations across Australia and New Zealand and are actively seeking Franchisees in a number of territories. This is a unique opportunity to be part of this expansion and share in the benefits of the power of the brands as Redspot and Enterprise challenge the existing status quo of the car rental market.

Prospective Franchisees will undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure only those sharing the values and ambitions of Redspot and Enterprise are invited to join this revolution. Successful applicants will benefit from;

  • assistance developing a comprehensive Business Plan for the territory,
  • a car rental system that has been proven and refined over many years,
  • access to airport markets within the territory,
  • inclusion in all reservation distribution channels supported by all four brands,
  • support from local and international sales teams,
  • assistance identifying suitable premises,
  • assistance negotiating the purchase, maintenance and disposal of rental fleet,
  • a comprehensive induction and training program,
  • assistance recruiting “the right people” to represent the brands at the rental counter,
  • inclusion in on-going training programs for front line staff and management,
  • the support of the entire Redspot team

To succeed as a Redspot Franchisee you will need to be personally committed to establishing and growing your business in a competitive, dynamic and constantly evolving market while meeting the highest standards of customer service and levels of customer satisfaction.

It is possible, but not essential, that you will an existing automotive business, particularly a car dealership. or have been involved in the automotive business previously. Alternatively, you may currently own a car rental business which you want to take to the next level by partnering with the world’s largest car rental group.

Applicants from outside the automotive industry are welcome particularly if they have a strong business ownership background and perhaps experience of being a Franchisee.
