Whether your in town with the family for one day or a week, there are plenty of things to see and do with your kids in sunny Brisbane. Here are our top picks.

Climb the Story Bridge

If you want to get a 360 degree view of Brisbane city, and you’re not scared of heights then this is ideal. The Story Bridge Adventure Climb takes about 2.5 hours and covers almost a kilometre up and over the bridge’s structure, with a viewing platform of 80m above Brisbane river. As you are climbing to the peak of the bridge, you can’t help but notice the 70,000 cars that are driving directly underneath you everyday. Bookings are essential and we suggest booking at least 14-21 days in advanced. Great for the kids and adults. Book online https://storybridgeadventureclimb.com.au/

South Bank Parklands

Positioned in the same site as the World Expo 88, the event that put Brisbane on the world map, the South Bank Parklands opened in 1992 on the south-side of the Brisbane River, directly opposite the main business district of Brisbane CBD. The parklands consisting of a mixture of rain-forests, public swimming pools, grassed areas to have a picnic, the Wheel of Brisbane and plenty of weekend markets, lollies factories and restaurants makes a great option to relax while the kids runaround burning off energy.

South Bank is the home of the majority of Brisbane city events, festivals and live music. Even if none of that sounds appealing, then the cheer fact that you can go to a sandy beach and swim in the water, while being in the heart of a city surely can’t be missed. https://visit.brisbane.qld.au/places-to-go/inner-city/south-bank

The science experiments that you can get your hand on and play with personally are well worth it. The only problem, the kids will never want to leave. Tickets can be bought online, or at the museum on the day. Family tickets are $44.50 for the Science Centre and free for rest of the Museum. museum.qld.gov.au/queensland-museum
