Many travellers are those under the age of 25. This is usually due to the abundance of time, money and reduced responsibility on someone of this age. While youth is typically a benefit for travelling, when it comes to hiring cars, it can be a drawback. Many airport car rental companies do not offer car hire for those under the age of 25 or those holding a provisional driver licence. However, national car hire company, Redspot Car Rentals, does it a little differently.

Under 25

If you are between the ages of 21 and 24, Redspot Car Rentals can offer you a hire car for your travels. However, it is important to note a few differences to our normal rates. Those between the ages of 21 and 24 are required to pay a daily surcharge and can only rent out ECMR, ECAR, CDAR and IDAR class vehicles. Drivers of this age can only reduce their damage cover to a minimum of $330.00.

Provisional Drivers Licence

Redspot is unique in that it is one of the only car hire companies in Australia to offer car hire to those with a provisional driver licence. There is a daily surcharge with drivers on provisional licences pricing of which can be view on the our standard fees and charges page.

Redspot Car Rentals offer airport car rental in all the major cities across Australia. To find a location near you or your destination, head to our Locations & Contacts page online.
