We can easily add additional drivers to your car rental booking. The driver will need to show their full valid driver’s licence in any branch and provide a credit card for a daily surcharge. Too easy!
Rev-Up for Young Drivers:
We are one of the few car rental companies to have a minimum driver age of 21!
Note that drivers under 25 will pay a daily surcharge on their car rental fee. Car hire is limited to small to medium-sized sedans and hatchbacks.
Don’t sweat the paperwork:
If you are a first-time renter, all we need is one (1) document with your address on it. Returning customers, all you need to bring for collection is your valid driver’s licence and credit card. If it’s your first time renting locally, you’ll also need to bring a third form of identification like a current utility bill. We will take care of the rest!

Can you hire a car to go one way?
Yes, one-way car hire is totally possible in Australia. This allows you to pick up your one way rental car at one location and drop it off at another, e.g. renting a vehicle from the Redspot Sydney CBD branch and dropping it off with our Brisbane Airport team.
Perfect for road trips, travel plans that mix driving and flying, or when you want to relocate between different cities. Keep in mind that one-way rentals usually come with drop fees (aka one-way fees) to cover the cost of relocating vehicles back to their original branch. This fee amount is displayed during the online booking process, so you know what’s involved from Day 1 and easily compare prices.
Is it more expensive to rent a car one way?
When it comes to one-way rentals, fees will vary depending on factors including the requested pick-up and drop-off locations, plus vehicle availability. The one-way fee covers the cost of relocating the vehicle back to its original location. Restricted state one-way rentals:
- Due to these branches’ remote locations (NT, SA, WA), one-way car hire is only available between Redspot locations within the state/territory it is rented from.
For one-way rentals, a one-way fee (also known as drop or relocation fees) may apply, based on distance and return logistics. All fees are included in your online quote, so you know exactly what’s involved for your budget from Day 1.
