Mine spec vehicles are heavy-duty and come equipped with specialised features and equipment to easily handle various mine site conditions. A mine spec car hire must meet safety regulations for safer driving in the rough terrain on a mine site.

If you get into an accident in a Redspot hire car, don’t panic – you may be covered under our handy damage liability cover. This depends on:

• Rental car’s class and brand
• Your coverage level
• Where the damage falls under our damage liability policy 

You may be liable for the following damage types:

• Holes, tears or scratches more than 50 mm in the car body
• Light chips and scratches
• Burns, tears or holes in the interior

Depends! While you will be immediately paying less for a short-term hire, your daily rates may also be reduced for long-term rental. The most rented type of car can change for a variety of reasons. The most rented type of car varies by purpose, season, how many people the car is carrying and where the Redspot branch is located. A SUV fit for the whole crew may be more popular for a beach trip, while a sturdy mine spec ute may be more fitting for a commercial hire.

Don’t sweat the paperwork with Redspot! For mine spec rentals, all you need to bring for vehicle collection is your valid driver’s licence. Depending on your company agreement*, you may also need to present a valid credit card.

For most Aussie car rental companies, the minimum age is 25. However, with Redspot, we don’t think age should keep you from getting the job done! Drivers from 21 years old are welcome to rent with us. This includes mine-spec and commercial vehicles.

Yes, you sure can. Book with our All-Inclusive Package to get up to $1500 standard damage liability for commercial and mine spec vehicles. If you book with our Standard Package, you can reduce up to $6200 standard damage liability for commercial and mine spec.
