Which vehicles are available for event hire?
Typically, the majority of our fleet is available for event vehicle hire, including minivans, trucks, sedans and SUVs. However, depending on your branch and how busy it is, your preferred vehicle may not be available for your event dates. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred vehicle.

How much does an event vehicle hire cost?
The exact cost of an event vehicle can vary depending on many factors, including:
- Location: Vehicle availability and cost may be affected by exactly which branch you are hiring from.
- Vehicle type: Exactly which vehicle you would like to hire for your event can affect the final cost of your contract.
- Availability: Some vehicles may be less available than others from specific branches, which can affect the cost of an event hire.
- Hiring period: The longer you are hiring your vehicle for, the more the rental period is likely to cost.
Is there a km limit on event vehicles?
Depending on exactly which vehicle you are driving, there may be a km limit on your event vehicle. We enforce a km limit for commercial vehicles like vans, utes and trucks, all vehicles collected from Darwin and specialised mine spec vehicles.

Are event vehicles insured?
At Redspot, all our vehicles come with basic insurance included in the hiring process. For more peace of mind, we also have the Super Package and Executive Package to further reduce your liability.
What licence do I need to drive an event vehicle?
At Redspot, all our vehicles can be driven with a standard ‘Class C’ licence, including our event vehicles.
What documents do I need to hire an Event Vehicle?
To hire an event vehicle, you will need:
- A valid credit card or debit card* or purchase order/prepaid voucher**.
- A valid driver’s licence and the licence of any other drivers using the car. Licence not in English? Please present an official translation from your embassy or home nation’s traffic authority.
- Does your licence show your current address? If not, please provide documented proof of address, such as a utility bill.
- If you are not an Australian citizen, you must provide your passport.
*Debit cards: Must have the customer’s name displayed and the ability to make online payments e.g. Visa or Mastercard debit cards.
**Purchase order or prepaid vouchers: Customers must also supply a valid credit card or Visa/Mastercard debit card for any incidental expenses (extensions, fuel charges, etc.).
Does Redspot Event vehicle hire include a hired driver?
No, we do not have hire driver services available at Redspot.
Can I transport food and drink?
Yes, absolutely! We have no issues with you transporting food and drink with one of our vehicles as long as the food doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Just try to keep things clean, or you may be charged a fee after dropping your event hire vehicle off.
