Australia’s largest family-owned car rental company will welcome travellers from the airport’s first day of passenger operations on 25 October 2026.
Redspot Car Rentals is proud to announce that it will open at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport when passenger flights officially commence on Sunday, 25 October 2026.
Redspot has been selected as one of five car rental operators that will service Sydney’s new 24-hour airport, joining Hertz, Avis, Budget and Europcar. The appointment will give arriving passengers convenient access to a wide selection of rental vehicles from the airport’s very first day of operation.
A Proudly Australian Choice at Sydney’s Newest Airport
Founded in Sydney in 1989 with just two vehicles operating from a Waterloo service station, Redspot has grown into Australia’s largest family-owned and operated car rental company.
Opening at Western Sydney International Airport represents an important homecoming and another major milestone in Redspot’s national growth story.
“Redspot is proud to be part of Western Sydney International Airport from day one,” said Harrison Scowsill, Strategic Accounts Manager at Redspot Car Rentals.
“Western Sydney International Airport will create significant opportunities for the local community, tourism operators and businesses across the region. We’re excited to help connect travellers with Western Sydney, greater New South Wales and the many incredible destinations within driving distance of the airport.”
Redspot’s appointment also continues the company’s long history of airport operations. The business opened its first Sydney Airport location in 1999 and has since established a national network across Australia’s major airports, cities and regional destinations.
From the Terminal to the Road in Minutes
The new Redspot branch will include a customer service kiosk conveniently located inside the airport terminal, supporting both pre-booked rentals and customers arranging a vehicle after arriving.
Rental vehicles will be collected from the nearby P1 car park, located approximately two to three minutes’ walk from the terminal. The simple terminal-to-car experience has been designed to get travellers out of the airport and onto the road as quickly as possible.
Customers will have access to a diverse fleet of modern rental vehicles suitable for business travel, family holidays, weekends away and longer road trips. Options will include compact cars, sedans, SUVs and larger vehicles suitable for groups and families.
Your Gateway to Western Sydney and Beyond
Western Sydney International Airport will provide a new gateway to one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions while also making it easier for visitors to explore destinations throughout New South Wales.
From the airport, travellers will be well placed to discover Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands and greater Sydney by road. The airport’s 24-hour operations will also provide increased flexibility for domestic and international travellers arriving throughout the day and night.
Whether travelling for work, visiting friends and family or setting off on a New South Wales road trip, Redspot will be ready to provide friendly local service, reliable vehicles and flexible rental options from the moment the airport opens.
Ready from Day One
Western Sydney International Airport is one of Australia’s most significant new infrastructure projects, and Redspot is proud to be part of its opening chapter.
As a proudly Australian-owned and family-operated company, Redspot looks forward to supporting the airport, creating local employment opportunities and helping visitors confidently explore Western Sydney and beyond.
